Introduction
When the users first launch SalesPipeline, it will be presented with a Setup Process that needs to be completed once in order to configure SalesPipeline.
Who can do this?
All the users who has access to the SalesPipeline.
Get Started
Click Get Started to proceed with setup process
Roles
The first step is Roles. On the Roles page, you will be able to create the roles and positions in your Organisation who are responsible for the delivery of products or services. If you do not have any Roles, you can continue and skip this step.
You also have the ability to separate the roles into Divisions within your Organisation if you so wish.
When you are finished, click Next to continue.
Products
The second step is Products. On the Products page, you will have the ability to configure the Products or services that you sell along with the price that you sell them at.
When you are finished, click Next to continue.
Priorities
The third step is Priorities. On this page, you or a manager in your organization is required to decide on the importance of certain criteria to help prioritize your Opportunities. These criteria include Products, Opportunity Value and the Timing to Closure. You will be able to score each criteria on a 1 (low) - 5 (high).
Go through each Product and give a score to each one in how important or unimportant it is to focus on selling that Product or Service.
Then go through and add or modify the monetary Value ranges for Opportunities and score how important it is to focus on certain monetary value ranges.
Finally, go through and add or modify the Timing ranges and the scoring associated to each range.
When you are finished, click Next to continue.
Sales Groups
The fourth step is Sales Groups. On this page, add the Sales Groups that are inside your Organization if you have them. These can be configured by location, region, department or office.
When you are finished, click Next to continue.
Sales People
The fifth step is Sales People. On this page, add the people in your organization who will be responsible for selling and managing Opportunities.
When you are finished, click Next to continue.
Complete
You are now complete with the Setup Process and configuration. You can now continue using SalesPipeline.
Changing any Settings
If you would like to change any of the original setup configurations, you can do so by clicking on Settings at any time and selecting which area you would like to change.
